Set up Fund types1 screen

Used to create fund types, each with a value and description, before funds are set up.

Create the fund type
Go to General ledger > Chart of accounts > Funds > Fund types
1. Select New
2. Enter the fund type BEAT-GOV and its description

Microsoft's steps

Go to General ledger > Chart of accounts > Funds > Fund types.
Select New.
In the Fund type field, enter a value, such as one of the eight GAAP fund types.
In the Description field, enter a description.
Select Save.
