What it isA setup page for message statuses, which describe the state of an electronic message at every moment.
What you do hereUsed to set up the message statuses available in message processing, with their response type and delete rule.
ExampleFor example, a simple process for an Excel report can use the statuses New, Prepared and Generated, with Allow delete selected only for New.

Set up Message statuses1 screen

Used to set up the message statuses available in message processing, with their response type and delete rule.

  1. Screen 1

    Create the message statuses

    Go to Tax > Setup > Electronic messages > Message statuses

    1. Select New, and enter the Message status and Description
    2. Select the Response type and the Message item status
    3. Select Allow delete if messages in this status may be deleted
    4. Select Save, and repeat for each status

Microsoft's steps

  1. Go to Tax > Setup > Electronic messages > Message statuses.
  2. Create the message statuses you need, such as New, Prepared and Generated.
  3. For each status, enter a description and select the response type.
  4. On the statuses whose messages users may delete, select Allow delete.
