What it is	The ledger calendar page, which shows the fiscal calendar, years, and periods used by the organization's ledgers.
What you do here	Used to view calendar details, change the status of periods, and select which users can post accounting transactions to each period.
Example	At the start of a new period, let one group of users finish posting to the previous period while other groups work only in the new period.

Go to General ledger > Period close > Ledger calendars.
Select Edit.
Select the period whose status you want to change.
Select the legal entities to update, or use the check mark to select them all.
To control posting by module, select Update module access, choose the module and the access level, and then select Update.
Select Update period status, and choose On hold, Open or Permanently closed.
Select Update.
